Near-field flat-plane images of spherical nanoparticles

چکیده
The paper is devoted to numerical simulation of homogeneous images of dielectric, semiconductor and metal spherical nanoparticles in a flat plane situated in the near-field region. The influence of the particle radius, the distance to the image plane and the polarization direction of the illuminating light wave on image formation is illustrated on the basis of near-field Mie scattering theory. 2004 Published by Elsevier B.V. Application of near-infrared light intensity to determine normal and cancerous breast vessel contrast by gold nanoparticles
Objective(s): A novel technique for the early diagnosis of breast cancer involves the use of nanoparticles (NPs). The present study aimed to use gold NPs to assess the variations in light source transfer intensity. Materials and Methods: Blood samples with hemoglobin (Hb) concentrations of ×1, ×2, and ×4 were used to simulate normal and cancerous conditions in the breast. Spherical gold N...
متن کاملMicrowave-Assisted Synthesis of Alumina Nanoparticles Using Some Plants Extracts
In present study we used five green plants for microwave assisted synthesis of Alumina nanoparticles from Aluminum nitrate. Structural characterization was studied using x-ray diffraction that showed semi- crystalline and possibly, amorphous structure. Fourier infrared spectroscopy was used to determine Al-O bond and functional groups responsible for synthesis of nanoparticles. FTIR confirmed e...
متن کاملSpherical Light Fields
A full view spherical camera exploits its extended field of view to map the complete environment onto a 2D image plane. Thus, with a single shot, it delivers a lot more information about the surroundings than one can gather with a normal perspective or plenoptic camera, which are commonly used in light field imaging. However, in contrast to a light field camera, a spherical camera does not capt...
متن کاملNear- and Far-Field Optical Response of Eccentric Nanoshells
We study the optical response of eccentric nanoshells (i.e., spherical nanoparticles with an eccentric spherical inclusion) in the near and the far field through finite-difference time-domain simulations. Plasmon hybridization theory is used to explain the obtained results. The eccentricity generates a far-field optical spectrum with various plasmon peaks. The number, position, and width of the...
متن کاملLearning Spherical Convolution for Fast Features from 360° Imagery
While 360° cameras offer tremendous new possibilities in vision, graphics, and augmented reality, the spherical images they produce make core feature extraction non-trivial. Convolutional neural networks (CNNs) trained on images from perspective cameras yield “flat" filters, yet 360° images cannot be projected to a single plane without significant distortion. A naive solution that repeatedly pr...
